Good morning!

Just wanted to touch base quickly as we start week #2 of swim team practice.

1)  TWITTER:  I received many emails stating that parents had registered for Twitter, yet NOT received the messages we sent out last week.  This is concerning, as we use this as our main method of quickly contacting families with swim info.  So may I request that those of you who did NOT receive the Twitter texts, please RE-REGISTER with Twitter by Wednesday, and we will send out a TEST message at the end of the day.  (Example: I had signed up to receive Twitter texts last year, but did not receive the message last week, until I RE-REGISTERED.)  Here are the instructions:  

• Text “Follow @nfstneptunes” to 40404
• In your phone Settings/Notifications, allow Twitter to send notifications.
• You DO NOT need a Twitter account to receive alerts

2)  SWIM MEETS & VOLUNTEER HOURS:  When can you sign up to volunteer at swim meets?  Not quite yet.  I have to tweak a few things before posting the meets on Swimtopia.  But stayed tuned this week for more info and details via email!!

3)  TIME TRIALS:  Make sure to mark your calendars, for Saturday, June 16th from ~8:30-11:30am.  We run this like an actual swim meet (with volunteer jobs, etc) though it's only for our team.  It's our opportunity to *time* the swimmers in all 4 strokes (or as many strokes as your child can swim legally by that time), BEFORE our meets begin.  We use those times to place swimmers in our first A meet on Saturday, June 23rd.  It's also a great opportunity for our new swimmers to experience what a swim meet *feels* like.  Stay tuned for more information.
