Social Events

Every Tuesday @ 11 - Social Kicks

• Join the team for a fun pool meetup with Coach Jamie, who'll have music, games, and plenty of summer fun ready for everyone. 

June 19 @ 6PM - Buddy Meet Up

• Meet your swim buddy for the season. We’ll kick things off with water games and then cool down with some popsicles. We’ll also have swimmer coach relays for some friendly competition and team bonding.

June 22 @ 8AM - Team Pictures

June 26 @ 6PM - Karaoke/Lip Sync Party

• We’ll set the stage and you bring the entertainment! June 29 @ 7:30 - 10:30 Team Shirts

• Join us for a fun and creative team event where we’ll design and decorate age group shirts! Swimmers should bring a plain white shirt, and we’ll provide all the decorating supplies like fabric markers and paint. Feel free to come before or after your swim practice time. It’s a great chance to show team spirit, get creative, and spend time with teammates outside of the pool, and we’re also looking for volunteers to help with setup and supervision

July 3 @ 6PM Spaghetti Dinner

• Join us for a fun team spaghetti dinner. It’ll be great food and even better company! This is a chance for swimmers and families to come together, relax, and connect outside of the pool. We are looking for a host location, as well as donations (food, drinks, and supplies) and volunteers to help with setup, serving, and cleanup. Any help is greatly appreciated to make this a smooth and enjoyable evening for everyone.

July 11 @ During A-meet - Senior Day

• Will will be honoring our six graduating swimmers throughout their last A-meet at Newington Forest pool.

July 11 @ 3PM - Dave and Busters

• This is our annual visit to Dave and Busters. We have a party room reserved where a kid and adult buffet will be served. Parents can hangout in the room while kids go crazy with the $20 game card that is included. July 15 @ 8:30AM - Swim-A-Thon

• Each year we host a swim-a-thon to help raise funds needed to purchase equipment to benefit the team. This year we are fundraising for new practice and meet lane lines and golden swim caps for a recognition program. It’s never too early to start asking for pledges from friends, family, and businesses!

• A pancake breakfast will be served as swimmers are finishing.

July 17 @ 6PM - Grill and Chill + Decorate Cars

• One of our grill masters will have the charcoal hot and ready and be there to assist in cooking burgers, hotdogs, kabobs, or whatever you’d like to bring for your dinner. If you would like the swimmers to decorate your car windows for our final away meet, please park as close to the tennis court as possible to keep the kids safe.

July 20 @ 5PM - Progressive Dinner

• This is a special event for our swimmers 15 and older, but can be a lot of fun for families of younger swimmers to host. We need four houses to host the first four courses: appetizers, drinks, salad, and main meal. Our older swimmers will meet the coaches at the pool before heading to each house in order for a specified amount of time. It’s up to you and your younger swimmers to decide if there is other entertainment you’d like to provide: card games, lawn games, minute to win it games, or an area for them to hangout! The will end at the pool for dessert and get the pool to themselves from 8 to 9 after it’s closed to everyone else.

July 22 @ Coaches Awards and Pool Games

• Practice times will be divided by last names. Coaches awards will be handed out at the very beginning of the hour. The rest of the time will be used to play pool games (raft races, watermelon push, etc)

July 25 @ 6PM - End of Season Awards and Party

• It’s time to celebrate the season's hard work! This is an event for minis and team members. Divisional and team awards will be handed out followed by a night of swimming just for the Neptunes.
• Families bring their own main dish plus something to share with the team. Last names that start with A-M should bring a dessert and last names that start with N-Z should bring a side dish (fruit, veggies, chips, dips, pigs in a blanket, etc.)

Buddies Schedule

June 22: Bring you buddy a card, note, or drawing to encourage them

June 29: Decorate a poster with your buddies name on it and bring it to the meet

July 6: Photobooth - take a buddy picture in your red, white, and blue gear

July 7: Bring your buddy a snack

July 25 - Some buddies may want to exchange a small gift during the each of season party

• There will be buddy stations at each b-meet with activities you can do together. Please have older buddies check in and encourage their younger buddies during meets and social events.

Weekly Themes

We really want to see everyone’s Neptune spirit this year! Each week will have a theme and we’d love to see it at the meets.

June 16-22: You’ve Got a Friend in Me (Disney)

June 23-29: Neptunes: Where the Beach Meets Speed

June 30: July 6: Stars, Stripes, and Neptune Might

July 7-13: Color by age group:

• 15-18: Red
• 13-14: Orange
• 11-12: Yellow
• 9-10: Green
• 7-8: Blue
• 6 and under: purple

July 14-20: Christmas in July - ‘Tis the Season to Swim Fast

Swimmers of the Week

Each week we will present 2 swimmers with a fun trophy as the swimmers of the week. These awards will go to the swimmer that not only worked hard in the pool but also embodied the spirit of our Neptune’s team by engaging with their buddies and showing their team spirit with the theme during meets.
