A Note from your Coaches
B Meet, Monday, July 2nd at Crosspointe
This meet got off to a slow start, but it did not affect our Neptunes swimmers. We swam 139 indivdual swims and had 93 best times!
A Meet, Saturday, July 7th, versus Pinewood Lakes
The Neptunes continued to put on a strong show, improving their record to 3-0. Our two remaining A Meets will be much closer and tougher than the first 3 have been. Our greatest challenge is yet to come. Fast times were hard to come by for both teams in Saturday's warm pool water, but we still set 31 personal best times with 102 individual events swum.
Congrats to Swimmers that mastered a new stroke this week!
- Eli Edwards- Fly
- Fabio Urbina- Breast
- Ashley Gallagher- Breast
- Aidan Venable- Breast and Fly
- Renzo Urbina- Breast
Thanks for stepping up! When two girls were unable to swim at the last minute, Britni Rose, Kaitlyn Rose, Haeley Hall, and Stephani Deleon-Barrios all stepped up to cover their spots and make sure that no lane was left empty. Teamwork like that is one reason we are such a strong team!
Thursday Night Skills Session This week's skills session will work on Starts and Turns. 10 and Under 5-6 11 and Older 6-7
We are looking forward to a very busy week!
- Monday, B Meet at Laurel Hill- this is usually one of our most fun meets due to so many of our swimmers knowing each other from South County or other sports.
- Wednesday, Divisional Relay Carnival- We will look to defend our title as last year was our first Relay Carnival victory since 2009!
- Saturday A Meet at North Springfield- These meets will only get closer and more difficult as we progress through the season. Our Neptunes are up to the challenge!
Let's continue our strong season Neptunes!

For what are we raising funds? This year we are purchasing a new sound system. Chris Goodrich has generously provided the sound system that we use for our meets for many years, but his daughter will be graduating next year, therefore, we need to plan for a permanent replacement for the equipment we have been borrowing. We will need to raise $1000-2000 to purchase a new sound system and it may take us more than one season to raise the funds we need. Please, help us to raise the funds we need to purchase a quality system that will meet the team’s needs for many years to come.
Swim-a-thon: The Swim-a-thon is on July 18. Please reach out to our friends and family (even out of town ones) to pledge your swimmer per lap or to give a flat donation. There are pledge forms in your folder and extra ones are in a folder located at the back of the file box. This is one of our biggest fundraisers, your support to make this a success is appreciated.
Glory Days: Thank you to everyone who came out to the team lunch on Saturday. The fundraiser with Glory Days is good for the whole month of July. If you eat at Glory Days, turn in your itemized receipt to Lisa Pratt (there is a folder in the file box marked Glory Days) and we will get 10% of the sales donated to the team.
Amazon Smiles: Amazon's fourth-annual Prime Day is coming up on Tuesday, July 17 and will feature one-of-a-kind deals exclusively for Prime members. This is one of the biggest shopping days of the year and a great time to remind our supporters to shop at smile.amazon.com and Amazon will donate to Nfst Inc.
Your shopping makes a difference. Amazon donates to Nfst Inc when you shop Prime Day deals at smile.amazon.com/ch/26-3534755.
Off-season fundraisers: Information on our two off-season fundraisers will be coming soon. These fundraisers will go towards the cost of the new sound system mentioned above.
