Hello Neptunes,

Sorry for the delay.  Please check the attached list to see if your child is swimming in the Divisional Relay Carnival.  Also special thanks to the parents who have graciously offered to volunteer to help at this meet.

Date: Tomorrow, Wednesday, July 11, 2018

Location:  Pinewood Lake, 8159 Fernlake Court, Alexandria, VA. (approximate travel time: 25 minute without traffic)

Times:

• Swimmer Arrival:  4:45pm (PROMPT!)
• Neptunes Warmups:  5:10-5:30pm (we are the first of 3 warm-up times.  We will share the pool for warm-ups with Pinewood Lake, our hosts.)
• 4:55pm – Marshals briefing
• 5:45pm – Officials briefing
• 6:00pm – Referee & Relay Take Off briefing
• 6:10pm – Table Workers in place
• 6:15pm – Timers briefing
• 6:20pm – first 2 events to Clerk of Course
• 6:30pm – Meet starts!!
• **Coaches Tshirt relay at the end of the event.

National Anthem:  Kids from the six Division 17 teams are singing.  If you have a child who wants to sing with the group, please let me know.

Team Area:  We are Team Area #3, located near the pool on a wooden deck.  Our team area is SHADED!  Bring flip flops or shoes to protect your feet. There is also a built-in bench around the deck.

Parking:  Swimmer drop-off area will be near entrance to the pool at a fence/gate opening. There is limited parking in pool lot, but street parking around the “lake” near the pool.

Weather Policy:  We will follow Parkwood Lake’s weather policies, but please remember, this event will be DELAYED in a weather event and not cancelled.  We will ask swimmers to wait in their cars, and we will communicate with you via the REMIND app about timing.  Please download REMIND to your phone if you haven’t already. Team Photographer??  Understanding it is late in the season, but is anyone interested in helping to take swim meet photos to share with fellow Neptunes?  If so, you could start tomorrow night.  We have been given a "Photographer" pass to give you access to the pool deck during the races.

Volunteers:  All slots have been filled for this meet.  Thank you!  But if you are a family attending the swim meet, and are looking to earn more volunteer hours, please contact me (I may be able to swap you out with another parent).
