Happy Sunday!

Thanks to Coach Jamie for the email explaining the swim events that we have remaining this week. And a HUGE shout out to the MANY MANY MANY volunteers who have helped make each swim and social event a success. As you have learned by now, we could not do this without you. It truly takes a village!!

VOLUNTEERING!!  I understand that most of you have fulfilled your 15 volunteer hours, and many of you have gone WAY over. Thank you!! But we still have 2 swim meets left this season, for which I need more volunteers. PLEASE consider helping, even if you have reached your 15 hours.

IM CARNIVAL is TOMORROW!  This meet is open to all swimmers that have a legal time in all 4 strokes!

• Time: 6:30pm
• Arrival & Warmups:  TBD
• Location: 7011 Flax St., Springfield, VA 22152
• Team Area #2 will be in the grass and in a shaded area. Furniture for team areas will not be provided. Please have swimmers bring portable chairs.  We will bring our 2 team popup tents.  Considering bringing more (rain is in the forecast again!)
• Parking: Their lot is small, though there is plenty of parking throughout the neighborhood streets.

Volunteer needs remaining:

• 1 Stroke & Turn Judge
• 1 Clerk of Course
• 1 Assistant Awards Clerk (Table Worker)
• 1 Place Recorder (Table Worker)

DIVISIONALS on Saturday, July 28th. Please stay tuned for an email in the next day or 2 asking for additional volunteers to help with our LAST swim meet event of the season.

In the meantime, below I have listed how the event will run. PLEASE email me if you are willing to help at the meet. You can work the whole event, or in halves. Please specify that as well.

Divisionals will be broken into 2 halves. (IM-Free-Back) is 1st half and (Breast-Fly) is second half. Team Reps in Division 17 are proposing an 8:30am start time (versus 9am). If agreed upon, the following schedule will apply.

• Warm-ups based on Teams. (7:30 – 7:45am, 7:45 – 8:00am, 8:00 – 8:15am)
• 8:00 Officials and Timers briefings
• 8:10 First Team Rep Scratch & Substitution Meeting
• 8:15 Clear pool and swimmers for first and second events to Clerk of Course
• 8:25 National Anthem
• 8:30 Start the meet

Events start times:

• IM – 8:30
• Free – No earlier than 9:15
• Back – No earlier than 9:45
• Change of officials and awarding of Division Sportsmanship Award and Championship Trophy
• Breast – No earlier than 10:45
• Fly – No earlier than 11:25

**There will be a 5 minute warmup period between each stroke.
