Winter Swim Opens Saturday!!!!

Please remember that registration is on a first-come, first-served basis. Last year, the spots filled up very quickly. If there are still spots available after 2 weeks (Nov. 24), registration will also be opened up to all eligible HOA members not on the swim team. Neptunes will still be able to register as long as spots are available.

We are excited to announce the 2019 Neptunes Winter Swim Program. This year we are offering 50 spots. The goal of the Winter Swim Program is to give our summer swimmers an opportunity to continue developing their strokes in the off-season, and to remain comfortable in the water, so that they don’t lose the progress earned from their hard work over the summer. It is not geared for learning a new stroke. This year's program will be exclusively at Lee District RECenter from 6-7PM on Sundays!
Additional notes from Fairfax County:
- Please be aware that the majority of our lanes are in water over 4 feet deep. All swimmers MUST be able to confidently swim 25 yards of either freestyle or backstroke unassisted and continuously.
- If you are unsure whether your child is eligible, please e-mail us.
- Cost: $110 per child. (Payment must be made via credit card online during registration, so we can accommodate people on a first-come, first-served basis. There is no multiple-sibling discount. See below for Financial Aid information).
- Offered to: Neptunes swim team members. (If we have availability, we may offer it to other HOA residents).
- Please note: These are practices, and there will be NO swim meets.
- Registration: Registration
will open on Saturday Nov. 10th at 9am. It is on a first-come, first-served basis. After registration is completed, you will receive a confirmation e-mail. - Wait list: Once the maximum number of swimmers is reached, you will be prompted to put your swimmer(s) on a wait list. PLEASE do so, as there may be cancellations. We hope to accommodate as many swimmers as possible. Also, it will help us gauge the interest for the next winter swim season.
Sundays from 6:00-7:00pm
- Coaches: Coach Jamie Visbeck assisted by student (teen) swimmers.
- Location: Lee District RECenter (6601 Telegraph Rd, Alexandria, VA 22310)
- Dates: January 13 – May 19, 2019
- Fourteen: 55-minute sessions total (closed on 2/3, 2/24, 3/17, 4/14, 4/21, 2019)
- 4 lanes total
Financial Aid: If you are in need of financial aid, We have a limited number of discounts available. Please click here to fill out the Financial Aid Application Form now (prior to registration being opened) so there is time for your application to be processed.
