Winter Swim Starts This Sunday!!!!!

Dear Neptune Winter Swimmers/Parents,

Hurray!!  Winter Swim begins this Sunday, January 13th @ 6-7pm at Lee District RECenter (6601 Telegraph Rd, Alexandria, VA 22310).

Please bring a towel, goggles and change of clothes for every practice for your swimmer(s) because it will be COLD after they swim. We ask parents/guardians to remain in the facility during practice. If you need to leave, please ask another adult to keep an eye on your child(ren). A family changing room is available. When you arrive (if asked), please inform the receptionist that you are there for swim practice. Proceed to the changing rooms and then to the pool. We will be in lanes C, D, E, & F which is in the shallow end.

We are excited to introduce our coaches: head coach Jamie Visbeck and student coaches Haeley Hall, Jared Neill, and Kaylee Pfiester.

Dates: (Please mark in your calendars)

Winter practice is from January 13th and continues through Sunday, May 19th. We will NOT have swim the following dates due to pool closures:

February 3rd and 24th, March 17th, April 14th and 21st.

It's not too late for your friends to join winter swim. They do not have to be on our "summer" swim team, they just need to live within our HOA and be able to swim the length of the pool without assistance. Please have them contact us at Swimteam@newingtonforest.org.

Looking forward to an exciting new swim season. See you at the pool!
