Dear MINI Neptunes Parents,

My name is Craig Allison, and I am excited to be our new MINI Neptunes coach for this season. I’m thrilled to continue on supporting this team as a coach and can’t wait to get to know everyone involved with this part of the team! This email is here to provide all the information you’ll need going into this brand new season, but most importantly, ASSESSMENTS begin on Wednesday, June 19th and continue through to Friday, June 21st.

INSTRUCTIONS:

1. What day do you come?
   • Wednesday June 19th at 8:00 AM (Last names A-H)
   • Thursday June 20th at 8:00 AM (Last names I-N)
   • Friday June 21st at 8:00 AM (Last names O-Z)
   • The assessment process will last no longer than 60 minutes each day.  If you have a time constriction, please let us know upon arrival that day, and we will do our best to accommodate you.  
   • We will also be having a make-up session at 9am on Friday, June 21st.
2. Please sign-in at the MINIS Information desk as you enter the pool deck. Also remember that registration must be completed and PAYMENT is DUE before a child can enter the pool.
3. Assessments will be done in small groups for safety, and so that I can get an idea of each swimmer's level, and they can be grouped with other kids of similar abilities. Have your Mini Swimmer ready to swim! (bathing suit, towel, goggles if you choose.

Starting on Monday, June 24th, lessons/practices will occur at three possible sessions. You'll be advised by the coach what session your child will attend via email on Saturday, June 22nd. If you have scheduling conflicts, please alert us as soon as possible, and we will do our best to accommodate your request. But please understand that we also need to group the kids by ability to ensure effective teaching.

• Session 1: 8:00 - 8:40 AM
• Session 2: 8:45 - 9:25 AM
• Session 3: 9:30 - 10:10 AM

• VERY IMPORTANT:  Please remember that for the duration of your child's swim lesson, we need a parent or guardian present at the pool at all times. This is for your child's safety.
• MINI Neptunes practice runs Monday-Friday (no practice on July 4) and will end on Friday, July 26th, though their official season ends at our END OF SEASON party on Saturday, July 27th.  We hope you call can join us for awards and our team party!
• Mini swimmers and families are a part of the Neptune Swim Team family!! All families are invited to team social events, at or away from the pool. We also invite our MINIS to display what they are learning at a Lollipop Race at the beginning of each of our 5 HOME Swim meets (B meets on Monday evenings: 6/24, 7/1, A Meets on Saturday mornings: 7/6, 7/13, 7/20)

NOTE! Our first B Meet is at HOME Monday, June 24th.

• I know this is also our first official day of practice but we would LOVE for the MINIS to join us by swimming across the deep end of the pool (with noodles, kickboards, and plenty of teenage swimmers to help). They will get a lollipop too! More information will be emailed later about the meet on Monday, June 24th. Please think about participating at the meets. It's a great way to get exposed to the swim meet environment. 
• Please do not hesitate to ask questions. I hope to accommodate everyone as best I can and cover anything you need to know for our upcoming season. We will be sure that our board members make themselves known to you, by having an information desk open during assessments next week (and also during the first week of practice starting Monday June 24th).
