Help us reach our Swim-a-thon Goal!

Parents,

Attached are the number of lengths each swimmer completed. Thank you for your support of Swim-a-thon, which is our biggest fundraiser. For your convenience, there will be pledge forms and a basket to turn in donations on the lifeguard table (by the soda machine) each day this week. Donations are due by Friday, July 26 in order to be eligible for any prizes your swimmer has earned.

So far, we are behind on our fundraising goal for Swim-a-thon. We are only one-third of the way to our goal. It is not too late to ask people to support your swimmer’s fundraising efforts. Please, reach out to your friends and family using the attached solicitation letter (modify it to include your child’s name etc). For your convenience, I have also created a donation link on our team website to make donating even easier: https://nfstneptunes.swimtopia.com/shop/58293.

Families often wonder for what we use the funds that we raise, especially because you may not notice when we have replaced or repaired equipment. We use the funds we raise through Swim-a-thon and other fundraising efforts to fund all the breakfasts the team provides, trophies and the end of the year party, and all of our team equipment. Some of the equipment that we use costs several thousand dollars to repair or replace. Last year, we were able to purchase a new sound system with funds raised from Swim-a-thon. This year our goal is to replace the competition lane line storage reel. Our current reel is too small for our lane lines which causes the buoys to break. You may be surprised to know that these cost $2000. Right now, we are only one-third of the way there.

Please take a moment to email your friends and family or to write your check or submit your online donation so we can reach our goal.
