The season is coming to a close with Divisionals this Saturday, July 27th (located at Lincolonia Park - 6501 Montrose St. Alexandria, VA 22312).  The top swimmers from the 6 teams in Division 17, will race one another in our last swim meet of the season.  Later that day we have our END OF SEASON party back at our pool, where we share food, fun, team awards and medals/ribbons from Divisionals earlier that day.

I will be sending you more details this week, but for now, please find the meet sheet attached.  We did our best to get as many Neptunes swimming in the meet as possible.  Please review this list and see if your child is swimming.  Questions?  Please email me.

VOLUNTEERS!

It's our last push for volunteers.  I know that many of you have already fulfilled your volunteer hours, but we still need help.  The jobs are split between first & second halves.  During the first half of the meet, kids will swim freestyle, back & breast.  Then we will take a break, change officials, give out awards (We will receive our Division 17 championship trophy!!) and then move on to the second half with butterfly and IM (individual medley).

Later this week I will give you all "no earlier than" times for each stroke, so you know when to show up at the meet.  But in the meantime, the swim meet with begin at 8:30am and end prior to 2pm (if the creek don't rise!).  Swimmer arrival will most likely be around 7:30am, but stay tuned for more information.

We are in the home stretch!  Neptunes are STRONG, and we will achieve some of our fastest times of the season.  But let's also remember that we are KIND, and let's receive our championship trophy with GRACE and HUMILITY!

Lincolnia Park is hosting Divisionals, and they are the team we beat last week (they were also undefeated).  In addition, they hosted All Star Relay Carnival last week and it was a MAJOR undertaking for all of their swim families.  That's why we have added some volunteer positions - to help ease the burden for *their* swim parents.  Let's show Division 17 the Newington Forest community spirit!!
