Hello Neptunes!

I hope you are having a wonderful year so far and looking forward to the upcoming holiday season!

Due to a rise in Winter Swim Registration (8 just this weekend!), we are extending the Early Bird Special for one more day, tomorrow, Tuesday, December 10th!  Any families or swimmers still deciding, you have one more day to sign-up at the lower rate.  Registration is now open to ALL Newington Forest HOA members, so feel free to invite neighbors or friends from school.

Who is Winter Swim for? It is for anyone within the Newington Forest HOA that is 18 and Under and can safely swim at least 25 yards.  We work to improve swimmers' technique and efficiency in all 4 strokes and Coach Jamie writes new practice plans each week specifically to target the needs of the swimmers we have.  It is especially useful for new swimmers, Minis that are ready to join the team this summer, 9 year olds (now swimming 50 meters!), and those swimmers trying to improve their times.

We practice for one hour, once a week, January through May.  It is not as hectic or busy as the summer season, but in the past few years swimmers that did Winter Swim showed remarkable growth over the summer because they maintained, and even improved, their technique, rather than having to relearn what they worked so hard on over the summer.

Lee District Rec Center, 6-7pm on Sundays January 12th - May 17th
