Dear Neptunes family,

We wanted to take a moment to reach out to you during these challenging days. Like you, we are wondering what the future holds for ourselves and our kids, specifically speaking - summer swim. Below is a message from NVSL, and as soon as we receive updated information, we will forward it to you.

In the meantime, the Swim Team Board continues to move forward with planning for the summer, albeit slowly and with caution. We had planned to open registration in a few weeks, though this will most likely be delayed. After registration opens, if there are any changes regarding the swim season, please rest assured that we will refund partial or full registration fees accordingly.

In addition, we are excited to mention that Jamie Visbeck will be returning as our Head Coach. Sadly, Miranda Parker will not be returning, as she is finishing her college studies this spring. In addition, Craig Allison will not be coaching Minis. This leaves coaching vacancies. If you know of people interested (ages 18 & older), please have them email us at [email protected], and we will forward job descriptions.

Regarding winter swim - currently the RECenters are closed. As we learn more about future openings, and also refunding for missed classes, we will pass information to you.

To our NVSL Community,

We know this is a very difficult time as we navigate life under the threat of the COVID-19 virus. We have received several questions about the status of the upcoming swim and dive season. At this time, we are hopeful that we will be able to have a season in some form. However, this is a very fluid situation and we will be monitoring guidance from the CDC and state and local governments. We have always stressed Safety First, and our priority will continue to be the health and safety of all those involved in NVSL Community.

We kindly ask that you give us some time to make a determination about the likelihood of various scenarios, which could include a canceled season, an abbreviated season, a possible delay to the beginning of the season, or a full season as scheduled. We are also monitoring USA Swimming and the status of other large, metropolitan summer swim and dive leagues. Statements from the leagues share a similar message - if we can have a safe swim season, we will! Should further action be required, however, we are ready to take those steps.

We wish you the very best and hope that you and your loved ones remain healthy.
