Hello Neptunes Families!

With the weather warming up, your thoughts may be turning to the summer – and possibly swimming. As you may have heard, the Newington Forest HOA Board decided to plan for opening the pool this summer, and also approved for the swim team to use it for practices and meets.

Thus, the NFST Board is hard at work making plans for the Summer 2021 swim season! The Northern Virginia Swimming League (NVSL) also has plans underway for a league season, and the Neptunes will be competing in Division 16 (after winning Division 17 in 2019!).

We will be writing in the coming weeks with more information about registration, what practices and meets might look like, and other details. From the NVSL site, you can see that an important upcoming date will be NVSL University on Saturday, May 22^nd. All returning and new officials will need to renew their certification, and we’ll need new volunteers as well. All of this year’s training be virtual.
