Hello Neptunes Families!

We hope this email finds everyone well. We're writing to share a few updates about the 2021 swim season. Information from NVSL has been slow to come out, so the board is doing our to get information out to you as soon as we can

This is a lot of initial information, so please read carefully.

We are planning to open registration for the 2021 Summer Season by 5pm on Friday, April 23^rd.

• This season WILL look different than a standard season, including the shape and number of meets and practices.
• NVSL is planning on holding Saturday dual meets (A-Meets), but other events are still TBA.
• We'll be sharing more information as we get closer to the season, but need to get a sense of registration numbers before we can confirm details.

Jamie Visbeck will be back as our Head Coach!

• We’re thrilled to have his experienced and caring leadership this season.

Morning practices should begin on Monday, June 14th.

• The board is still working out the details of what practices will look like.
• Currently, we do not anticipate holding after school practices, but will notify you if this changes.
• We hope to have 5 days a week of practice for everyone, adhering as closely to our standard schedules as possible. But we may have to make adjustments once we have final registration numbers.

We will be having a modified Mini-Neptunes program.

• Numbers will initially be limited to 4 swimmers per 20-minute session. Though this is a shorter session, it will allow for more individual attention for each swimmer and allow for proper safety and health measures.
• Class sessions will occur in 20-minute periods between 8-10am from June 21^st-July 23^rd.
• Spots will be filled by the order of registrations on a first-come, first-served basis.
• A waitlist will be available and will be used to fill additional slots as they become available.

Other Information:

• The NFST Board will be holding an information meeting to answer your questions and provide further details via Zoom on Tuesday, May 4^th at 7:30 PM (Zoom link to follow).
• The deadline to order a team swim suit (optional) will be May 17^th. The link to purchase this (and things like individual kick boards) will be linked on the team website.
• NVSL University is being held virtually on May 22^nd. All officials will need to train or recertify for all NVSL positions (Stroke and Turn, Referee, Starter).

We're excited to get our swimmers back in the pool – and look forward to sharing more information about the season soon!
