Hello Neptunes!

We had a great Time Trials to kick off Saturday meets for the season - thank you all, again, for your volunteering to make it happen! Because we are going to do 3 Monday night meets with only our team, we will need similar levels of volunteers a few more times this season (other Saturday meets will only require about half of those numbers).

Notes on Time Trials:
We had a number of new swimmers get their first official times - and swim strokes that are new to them - which is fantastic! And a number of returning Neptunes improved on their personal bests (even after a long time away from the pool). We also had a number of parents learning new volunteer positions (which is also great!).

Masks in Team Area: As noted at the pool on Saturday, while our pool does not have a mask requirement, NVSL is recommending that swimmers wear masks in the team area. And we may visit other pools with different restrictions (Mike Cabot will relay that information each week when he receives it). We need to adhere closer to this recommendation, particularly when meeting with other teams in what might be somewhat cramped spaces.

Saturday, June 19th - A-Meet at Pleasant Valley

• Declare your swimmer's availability by 10:30 AM on Wednesday, June 16th, or they may not get the opportunity to swim (we have to share our roster with the other team after this).
• Address: 4347 Cub Run Rd, Chantilly, VA 20151
  Pleasant Valley is a nice pool to visit, but it IS a bit of a drive (about 35-40 minutes away). Thus, plan to leave early - and I'll be sharing arrival times soon (likely around 8:00 AM). Volunteer slots are open.
