Hello Neptunes Families: 

Before getting into the information for this week, let me first echo the coaches’ thanks and celebration of our showing (both as swimmers and volunteers) at Pleasant Valley at yesterday’s A-Meet. Let’s keep it rolling! 

This Week: 

B-Meet Monday: 

Who?
Everyone on the team can swim! Make sure to declare your swimmer(s)’ availability today. You can also indicate their preference of stroke [typically, they will not swim the same stroke that they swam in the previous A-meet, and coaches will try to place them in a stroke that they may be learning/close to legal on].
Where?
Newington Forest Pool

When?

Swimmer Arrival: 5:30pm

Warm-ups: 5:45pm

Meet Start: 6:30pm 

What else?

Volunteers:
This season, all of our B-meets will be intrasquad (only our team will be competing). Thus, we have a lot of volunteer slots to fill (we are switching to 1 timer per lane for our own B-meets because of this).
In particular, we need: 

• Someone willing to assist and learn Clerk of Course duties. 
• Concessions workers/grill attendants – YES, we’ve received permission from the HOA to have regular concessions. 
• If you are signed up to time and are willing to switch roles, email Mike Cabot and I’ll switch the sign-up for you. 

Because this is just our own team, this is a perfect opportunity to learn a new volunteer role. As you all know or have learned, summer swim is a participation sport for parents as well! 

Coming Up: 

• Declare you swimmer(s)’ availability for the Saturday, 6/26 A-Meet (if they are or are not available) by 10:30am on Wednesday, June 23rd. This helps the coaches set up the meet sheet (assume that your swimmer MAY get the opportunity to swim if available). 
• Team Pictures are next Monday, June 28th at 8:00am! The order form is attached (and more information to follow).
• Mini Neptunes Practices Begin This Week (Monday, June 21st)!
