Time Trials are this Saturday, June 11th!

• Please mark whether or not your child can attend Time Trials by going to the EVENTS & SIGNUPS page on the team website )and click “Meet Entry” next to time trials). We need this completed by 7pm today (Thursday, June 9^th).
• PARENTS: sign up for Volunteer Positions (we’re almost there! Just need a couple of timers). Note your start time for the shift. For instance, we need Marshals on deck by 8am, and various other positions to arrive before the meet begins.
• SWIMMERS: Arrive by 8:00 am and be ready to swim in warm-ups by 8:15am so that we can begin promptly at 9am. Meet in the grassy area in the back of the pool deck.

What is Time Trials?
Time Trials is a swim event where team members swim as many of the 4 strokes as they are able (legally per the swim coaches). Strokes are freestyle, back, breast, and butterfly. We time each swimmer, and use it as a baseline for the upcoming A Meet on Saturday, June 18. 

We are not competing against any other team, BUT we set up the pool just like a swim meet, fill volunteer positions, and it’s a great opportunity for new swimmers and parents to get the “feel” of a swim meet. The Team Representative will briefly speak to parents before the meet begins about a few meet procedures.

It is very important that as many swimmers attend this event as possible. Times are critical in aiding coaches in placing swimmers in meets. We’ll work on scheduling makeups during practices early next week for those unable to attend.

Time Trial Makeups & Volunteers

We will record times for swimmers unable to attend Time Trials during next Monday’s and Tuesday’s practices. We will need a few volunteers for timing (and a starter, and 2 stroke & turn judges). You can sign up for these additional volunteer opportunities here EVENTS & SIGNUPS
